I don't have a broker, who do you recommend?

To find the best broker for you, you need to evaluate your needs as an investor. This means you need to research different brokerage solutions. You have to think about where you live, your citizenship status, and if your chosen broker will allow you to invest in the U.S. stock market (and any other stock market if that is what you want).

But, choosing a broker can also go beyond this. For example, if you are a long-term minded investor then you need to find a broker/dealer that is safe, secure and that you know will be around for the next 10+ years so there is little change or hassle that can affect the way that you invest.

If you don’t have much capital to play with, then you might want to use a broker/dealer that has low commission fees for any trade that you make.

You might want a brokerage account that is easily accessible for regular checks on the performance of your portfolio. Or, you might want a brokerage account that is a little harder to access, so you can forget about your portfolio for the majority of the time and let the market do its thing.

All these different questions will help you to choose the best broker/dealer with which to set up your new investing account.

But don’t worry, we have made this a bit easier for you and collected the most popular brokers that our members use and separated them out into the regions where they are available.  The below broker/dealers are all used by our members in a long-term investing capacity.

Just search for your region and look at the options available.
